CENTRE

Currently the Society is looking after more than 450 dogs as on 28th  November 2002. These animals once brought to the Centre are being put through a programme of health check up, neutering, deworming and rabies injections. These interventions are geared towards containing further increase in the canine population; prevent rabies infection and provide basic health care.

Efforts are being made with the cooperation of City Corporation, Thimphu to round up all the street dogs in and around Thimphu and throughout the country ultimately.

The dogs brought from different corners of Thimphu find life at the Centre acceptable and comfortable. They now refuse to leave the compound. We have thus decided to if we can afford continue to keep all of them there.
